• Game Highlights - Dock & Lift vs Mohawk Jaycees - 6/28 - UTLL Tournament

  This was a game of ups and downs!  But we pulled through at the end with a WIN!  Parker pitched and got a double play, WOW!  Joe got the game winning RBI sending Aidan across the plate for a RUN!! Way to go Aidan & Joe!!  After a tough first 2.5 innings, we came back with some great play-making, hitting and base-running!  Way to come together boys, and take back the lead!  Now on to the next game vs. Mound Fire!!

• UTLL Tournament Skills Contests: Wednesday 6/30, 7pm, Wolner Fields

  Home Run Derby: Our 2 participants, based on season stats, are.... JAKE ANDERLY & TANNER WISEGARVER!  Congratulations Boys!  (Let's give a big shout-out to Jackson Burgess, who had the most multiple base hits this season, and was the top D&L contender for the Home Run Derby - but is out of town!) We’ll have players bat from second base, with a ball over the fence counting as a home run and anything else an out. Each player will get six outs. We’ll have a preliminary round and the top six hitters will advance to the finals.

  Base Running Contest:  All players who are not participating in the Home Run Derby are invited to participate in the base running competition. While the preliminary round of the Home Run Derby is going on over on Field #1, we’ll have the preliminary round of the base running competition on Field #2. Each team will have all their players timed in running from first to third base. The player from each team with the fastest time will advance to the final competition. For the finals we’ll move over to Field #1 so everyone can watch the finals of both the Home Run Derby and the Base Running contest.

• END of the YEAR TOURNAMENT dates:

  • June 28 - July 1, 2010 - schedule has been emailed out, and is posted on the main page of the UTLL Northern League.  (Times depend on Win or Lose of our previous game)
  • Monday - 6/28, 7pm - Raking - REINERT/HAWES WIN 12-9!!
    Tuesday - 6/29 - Concessions - WOYCHICK/ABRAMS 7pm Field 2 (cages @ 5:30)
  • Wednesday - 6/30 - Concessions - ANDERLY/BRIDGE
    Thursday - 7/1 - Raking - NELSON/WISEGARVER
  • If you are unable to work your assigned night, please find another D&L family to trade switch with..
  • If your player will be unable to participate in the tournament, please let us know ASAP.

• Dock & Lift vs Tandem Printing 6/22/10 Game Highlights

  Score 9-5 = WIN!!

  We had a great game all around!  Outstanding batting - quite a few landed in the outfield, with some boys getting doubles and triples!  Jake Anderly even had another in-the-park HomeRun!!  Our fielding was excellent as well, with outs made on pop-flies in the outfield, and plays made!  Our pitchers threw many strike-outs, and Tanner even had a 1-2-3 strike out inning!  Great Teamwork, Dock & Lift!! We are proud of ALL of our boys!  They have made excellent strides this season!

• GAME 5 Highlights - 5/17/ - vs Hamel #11

  • Tanner started off the game with a double! 
  • Jackson stole Home TWICE!!! Along with Carter, Benji, Evan  & Tanner all stealing home!
  • Jake had a 2-Run In-the-Park HOME RUN...again!!
  • Evan pitched 2 shut-out innings, and Tanner had a shut-out inning, too!
  • Benji took the mound for the first time, making a great play at 1st for an out!
  • Jackson caught a pop-fly, and later took a ball to the shoulder while stealing home....SAFE!
  • Mr Hawes subbed in as 3rd base coach....excellent!  Not sure what he told them, but the boys were all stealing home!  Way to put points on the board!  Thanks Paul!
  • REMEMBER TO PRACTICE PITCHING WITH YOUR SONS DAILY IF POSSIBLE. 

• Game 4 Highlights (5/12/10) vs. Fineline

  Parker Reinert had an excellent game ending line-drive catch out in right field!  Wow!!  Adrich Harried & Jake Anderly stole home, Tanner Wisegarver hit a pop-up double, Evan Babekuhl hit and pitched very well, and Trevor Nelson had a GREAT catch at first base...just gotta remember to keep the foot on the bag, or that guy woulda been out by a mile!  And, way to go, Joe Woychick- great sacrifice fly to bring Tanner into home and put a point on the board!  Our team is coming together nicely!
